The Real Time Graphics Specialist is responsible for maintaining and developing the network-to-network infrastructure for live events and studio shows. This role will support the on-air graphics integration needs of Telemundo Network and its properties.

Job Description

Job Duties
  • Collaborates with Art Directors, Senior Designers, and the creative team(s) to integrate new graphics into a Network based insert package
  • Provides support and maintains the Network insert package for all shows while ensuring an elite level of graphics standards
  • Provides support to the function/role of Graphics Playback Operators as needed and oversees the proper usage of various graphics integration including full screens, animations, and talent boxes
  • Responsible for defining RTG workflows for all on-air properties
  • Embraces, learns, and implements new graphics technology
  • Assists technical engineers in solving software issues as needed
  • Works under the direct supervision of the Manager, Real Time Graphics and is responsible for completing any other tasks as assigned as needed
Basic Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience with Chyron or electronic graphics systems
  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Television Production, or related field or equivalent work experience
  • Proven experience with VB Scripting, C++, Java, and LUA in the Chyron environment
  • Proven experience with SQL & XML as well as data integration
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel with a strong understanding of integration with Chyron
  • Proven fluency in the language of on-air show packaging and insert graphic elements
  • Exhibits advanced understanding of Chyron design and animation techniques
  • Exhibits advanced understanding of the creation of templates for Camio and LUCI
  • Exhibits understanding of 3D environments and transition logic techniques
  • Fluent in English & Spanish (both written & verbal)
