Job Description

We are looking for someone that will assist the Senior Character Art Director in developing new exploratory styles to enhance all properties. They will also aide in the development of the Junior Character Artists.

Responsibilities
  • Implement character art that translates the personality and values for off-channel use.
  • Ensure a coherent presentation of the properties voice across all businesses.
  • Ensure modeling and styling characters.
  • Works directly with the Art Director in developing new exploratory styles to enhance all properties and implement character art consistent with the property sensibility.
  • Work with Senior Character Art Director to produce character art for style guides, packaging, apparel, publishing, and other lines of business learn the style and personality of the characters.
  • To be thoroughly acquainted and maintain awareness of the property, characters and current programming.
  • Blue line and correct character art to ensure accurate representation of the property.
  • Work with Senior Character Art Director to develop character art for concept boards for new business based on creative strategy.

Basic Qualifications
  • Expert in illustrating all character art properties.
  • Excellent creative abilities and aesthetic judgment.
  • Expertise in illustration, blue lining, inking, coloring and different mediums.
  • Knowledge of Macintosh computer use (proficient in Photoshop; Illustrator a plus)
  • Significant experience in licensed character art.
  • Extensive knowledge and expertise in execution of animated properties.
Additional Qualifications
  • Ability and curiosity to explore new styles and mediums.
  • Knowledge of kid’s culture and an understanding of their outlook and issues.
  • Ability to adapt most styles.
  • A hardworking understanding of Nickelodeon and Nicktoons style.
  • Ability to efficiently work in pressured and constantly changing environments.
  • Ability to efficiently manage a greater work load. 
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Hiring Salary Range: $90,000.00 - 105,000.00.
