Job Description

As part of the eOne Transition program, the Senior Project Manager will be responsible and accountable for the successful implementation of multiple, critical projects for the organization. The candidate will be a professional leader with experience in technical delivery of large-scale, complex systems.

The Senior Project Manager will bring clear, logical decision-making, strong leadership, and the ability to prioritize conflicting priorities. The candidate will be responsible for clearly communicating with all levels within the organization, working with business units to understand business requirements, along with planning and execution in a cross-functional delivery environment. As part of playing a leading role in program/project planning and execution, the candidate will work with multiple project managers, external vendors and/or consultants and internal team members to deliver the project per planned objectives, timelines and budget, applying quality control throughout the lifecycle.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage multiple, concurrent inter-related projects that have high impact and visibility to business operations and financial cost to achieve success for the program.
  • Plan and deliver project(s) per defined scope, timeline and agreed budget. Control change to project as needed to address impacts to baseline. Communicate with senior management regarding project obstacles and make necessary changes. Utilize expert knowledge of project management and business experience to identify project risks and provide appropriate options.
  • Conduct planning activities and develop a detailed project plan based upon realistic timelines resulting in a clear baseline, identifying milestones, cost, effort, inter-dependencies and critical path. Track, monitor and report on progress, identifying and mitigating potential problems before they occur.
  • Develop an effective communication plan to establish project expectations/objectives and provide communications to stakeholders, business partners and team members in a timely and clear fashion. 
  • Develop and adhere to governance structure to report and escalate obstacles or recommendations for decision accordingly.
  • Drive organizational change as it relates to project deliverables, taking into account obstacles, opposition and differing stakeholder priorities. Champion business process change, crafting solutions to address business problems.
  • Build and promote a positive, collaborative environment for all project participants. 
  • Manage effective relationships with vendors and cross-functional teams. 
  • Produce and manage quality project artifacts in alignment with established methodology, standards and policies. 
  • Gather lessons learned from project participants and report recommended improvements.
Qualifications
  • Project Management Professional® certification, or working towards
  • 10+ years of project and/or program management experience 
  • Working knowledge of Agile Project Management methodology 
  • Extensive experience in working in the technical domain, specifically proficient with API integration, platform development and technical architecture
  • Experience with data warehouse and data migration 
  • Experience with financial ERP system implementation, such as Dynamics 365 or SAP
  • Familiar with systems related to media industry
