Job Description

We are seeking a talented and visionary Showrunner specializing in ideation and scripting to lead our creative team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and overseeing the artistic vision and storytelling of our new content in Drama, Comedy OR True Crime (we are looking for 1 Showrunner in each of these 3 genres). You will collaborate closely with our team of writers and key stakeholders to ensure the branded vision is executed flawlessly. Creative leadership and strategic thinking will be crucial in maintaining the quality of our content and meeting deadlines. Ultimately, this individual will have a passion for film production, a knack for generating unique ideas, and a talent for crafting captivating scripts.

HOW YOU’LL SPEND YOUR TIME:
  • Leading the creative development process, from ideation to scriptwriting 
  • Providing guidance and feedback to writers during the scriptwriting process
  • Overseeing the creation and revision of scripts, ensuring they align with the artistic vision and production requirements
  • Conducting research and staying updated on industry trends to bring fresh and innovative ideas to the table
  • Working closely with the director and other creative team members to ensure the vision is effectively translated onto the screen
WHAT YOU HAVE:
  • Proven experience as a Showrunner or in a similar role, with a successful track record of delivering high-quality content (preferably in the YouTube/Social space) 
  • Strong storytelling and scriptwriting skills, with a portfolio showcasing your creative vision and ability to craft compelling narratives within the following genres; Comedy, Drama, True Crime 
  • Excellent storytelling abilities, with a deep understanding of character development, plot structure, and narrative arcs
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
WHO OVERSEES YOU: The Showrunner will report directly to the Senior Manager 

WHO YOU OVERSEE: Currently, the Showrunner has writers reporting to him/her 

WHERE IT ALL GOES DOWN: This is remote work from home

WHEN THE MAGIC HAPPENS:
The typical work schedule is 40 hours a week, specific times will be discussed during the interview

Compensation: $120k - $200k a year
