- We are seeking an HMU and special effects artist for a short film planned to be submitted to festivals starting this fall.
- Shoot date is planned for May 20-21st and depending on availability/rate may need you for only one of those days but prefer both.
- Location is to be finalized but expected to be in the Wilmington DE area.
- The primary need is to have realistic appearance for bruising and a cut/wound.
Here is some information about the film:
The Project: I am the writer and producer for an independent SAG microbudget drama/comedy short film. The story is about a medical interpreter who finds herself between an earnest physician and a Bengali woman brought in for domestic violence. Though the topic is heavy, there are fun moments as the characters assess and understand each other.
About Myself: I am a Bangladeshi American actor and writer based in New York. I am passionate about different cultures portraying their own stories. I have been involved with domestic violence through hotline work and being a board member for a domestic violence grassroots organization. I believe that you can’t help anyone unless they are ready, and that support and respect can actually be more empowering than we realize.
