Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Specialty Photographer to join our news team.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Capture and edit visual content with a focus on special projects for multiple platforms.
- Partner with newsroom employees on story creation and development, including research, undercover, surveillance, and interviews.
- Conduct field interviews.
- Operate various news gathering equipment, including but not limited to microwave live truck, video camera, and video editing equipment.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
- May need proof of auto insurance and liability coverage.
- Proficiency with lighting and computer based editing.
- Prior experience with DaVinci Resolve and Adobe Premier, preferred.
- 3-5 years’ prior experience as a newsroom photographer
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- Ability to utilize a variety of cameras, technologies, and advanced lighting techniques to create visually compelling stories.
- Knowledge of and proficiency in posting content to websites.
- Knowledge and demonstration of creativity, editorial judgment, journalistic ethics, and libel laws.
- Able to work efficiently under multiple deadlines on a daily basis.
