Job Summary/Description:

CBS7 is the Breaking News and Weather Authority in Midland-Odessa and is looking for our next Weekend Sports Anchor & MMJ. Successful candidate must be a proven leader who is motivated, and passionate about storytelling. The ability to cultivate sources and produce enterprise stories is a must. This energetic candidate will be a strong live reporter and be driven by breaking news and deliver it with a sense of urgency. This opportunity is for a journalist who has a curious mind and is digitally driven. This is a rare opportunity to join a legacy station in a great company.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

* Anchor weekend sportscasts
* Contribute to Friday night football show
* Shoot, edit and present sports stories, sports highlights, and news stories
* Continue coverage online and on social media 
* Enterprise story ideas 
* Write conversationally and quickly
* Report live in the field

Qualifications:

* Bachelors Degree in journalism
* An internship at a commercial TV newsroom
* A resume reel (this is a requirement to be considered)
* ENPS and Clickability Experience are a plus
