Job Description
We are looking for a Sports Director to lead and guide our coverage on the most dominant digital platforms in the state and from a brand new, sharp looking news set. This person will above all understand that sports stories are people stories.
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Anchor sports segments in evening newscasts.
- Plan and lead our sports coverage.
- Responsible for sports editorial content across all platforms.
- Mentor upcoming Sports MMJs
Qualifications/Requirements:
- 2 years experience as Sports Director or Sports MMJ in television newsroom.
- Exceptional on camera presence and delivery.
- Talented writer
- Proven leader and teacher
