The Job
We have multiple Sports Social Media internship opportunities available. By applying to this posting, you will be considered for all internship opportunities within this area. These internships will be located in the New York City area. The selected interns will be expected to join us in the office on a regular cadence based on the intern managers in office schedule.

Your Role Accountabilities 
Duties could include:
  • Consuming all content and identifying opportunities for optimization, strategic re-distribution, and other learnings
  • Developing show/video ideas, executions and production plans
  • Provide and develop key insights to help improve content creation
  • Daily video content curation for Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok channels
  • Brainstorm original content offerings and pitch new content ideas that the programming team can use to diversify content offerings
  • Assist in publishing social content
  • Collaborate with other programming groups to align on voice and ensure differentiation across other media outlets
  • Pitch ideas and concepts that can help amplify women in sports and culture
  • Edit short form original content
  • Assist programmers with identifying and clearing viral UGC clips in coordination with House of Highlights
  • Assist with identifying viral news stories and organize viral storylines and moments through daily conten trun of shows and handoffs
  • Attend and participate in weekly team meetings
  • Meet in-office requirement of 3 days/week
  • Coordinate with other internal brands for potential joint projects
  • Search for user-generated content
The Essentials
  • Deep knowledge and passion across all social media platforms (particularly Instagram, YouTube and TikTok)
  • Some knowledge and understanding of Adobe Premiere
  • Editing/Content creation or social media production experience a plus. Managing and growing your own YT/TKT/IG channel a plus
  • Real familiarity with Bleacher Report, House of Highlights, HighlightHER brand
  • Proactive, not afraid to pitch ideas and break the status quo
  • Team player, can take constructive criticism
  • Passion for sports; well-versed in multiple sports
  • Superb organizational and communications skills
  • Extensive knowledge of men’s and women’s sports (NBA, WNBA, NCAA, etc.)
  • Extensive knowledge of sneaker culture, streetwear, fashion, and sports (for Bleacher Reports Kicks Social Content Internship)
  • Experience in content creation, production or media a plus
  • Ambitious college student with a strong voice and go-getter attitude
  • Must be actively enrolled in a U.S. accredited college or university degree program for the full duration of the internship (proof of enrollment required)
  • Must be a rising Junior or Senior Undergraduate (18 years or older)
  • Must be in academic good standing (3.0 or above GPA)
  • Warner Bros. Discovery will only consider candidates who are presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and who will not require work visa sponsorship from Warner Bros. Discovery now or in the future in order to retain their authorization to work in the United States. 
The Nice to Haves
Photoshop and web publishing skills are a plus

What to know before applying: 
  • The duration of the summer program regardless of which start/end option is 11 weeks.   
  • Program date options: 
  • Option 1: June 3rd – August 16th  
  • Option 2: June 10th – August 23rd  
  • Interns will be expected to work 35-40 hours per week in a hybrid capacity.  
  • Our internships are paid opportunities with a competitive hourly wage. Credit is not required; however, we will provide the necessary documentation for school credit if desired. Relocation is not provided.  
  • Interviewing will take place from February through mid-April. A WBD team member will contact you if your experiences and interests match an open internship position. Due to the high volume of applications, we are unable to give individual status updates.

Pay Rate: $19 per hour USD for undergrad interns, $25 per hour USD for graduate level interns.
