To that end, we are hiring an experienced Senior Manager of DEIB to help drive impact through data-informed initiatives.

Reporting to the Director of DEIB, this leader will help develop, implement and assess strategies, programs and events in support of the studio’s strategic commitments. The Sr. Manager will partner with studio-wide stakeholders and colleagues across Disney Entertainment to identify, communicate and influence opportunities to embed diversity in stories and staff composition, as well as facilitate equity and belonging across the studio.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide leadership and project management for Pixar’s Studio Resource Groups (SRGs)
  • Develop and maintain success metrics to measure success, glean takeaways and incorporate into future strategy and initiatives
  • Collaborate with the Director to uncover insightful ways to strengthen DEIB across areas such as compensation, performance management, organization composition, casting, promotions and development
  • Assist with the development of Pixar’s people experience strategy
  • Serve as a subject matter expert through strategic DEIB consultation for collaborators studio-wide
  • Support studio and Walt Disney Company wide projects, such as annual conferences, resource group facilitation, university relationship development and community outreach, etc.
  • Deliver compelling and concise communication to a wide range of audiences
  • Design and update supporting communications of DEIB content for company materials (ie., website, etc.)
  • Develop, recommend and implement learning programs to help build the core competencies for establishing and maintaining a culture of DEIB
  • Stay current on DEIB industry best practices, philosophies and approaches, by maintaining relationships with others in the field
  • Represent Pixar and effectively share our DEIB journey with industry peers, professional associations, etc.
  • Select, manage and evaluate vendors or consultants to ensure fiscal responsibility and delivery of stated outcomes
The ideal candidate will be able to:
  • Apply foundational DEIB knowledge, current research, and best practices to their work
  • Model principles associated with inclusive leadership such as curiosity, vulnerability, humility, empathy, creativity, active listening, etc.
  • Develop and implement DEIB programs in complex organizations
  • Collect and analyze data to find opportunities to increase organizational DEIB efficiency
  • Understand common HR, strategy, and operations responsibilities allowing you to navigate business needs, corporate ecosystems & cultural nuances
  • Manage successful partnerships, projects & relationships
  • Execute with outstanding attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Facilitate DEIB workshops for partners at various levels and support organizational change initiatives
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including executive level leaders
  • Thrives in a creative environment
  • Demonstrate a successful track record in other companies
The hiring range for this position in Emeryville is $170,796.00 to $218,460.00 per year.
