Blue Hour Studios is seeking a problem-solving Senior Producer/Video Editor to join its Creative & Content team. The Sr. Producer/Video Editor will create and edit content on behalf of Blue Hour Studios’ clients. The ideal candidate is a highly collaborative individual with agency or brand-side experience editing and producing branded video content across channels.

Job Description

Main Duties and Responsibilities

50% - Content Production

Creatively run productions from start to finish – starting with an approved concept, and building it out to a full video. This includes ideating on the overall tone, look, casting, editing, and more
Work directly with clients to help them see the vision for a given piece of video content, and support creative decisions
Oversee all aspects of video production, including crew and production team, research, production, post-production, timelines and budgeting
Support on set as a producer and lead coordinator
Supervise projects and personnel, leveraging both internal production capabilities and external resources
Negotiate rates with freelance crews and vendors
Work with legal to execute vendor and talent contracts
Integrate client feedback whenever and wherever necessary without sacrificing quality

50% - Video Editing:

Create, organize, and assemble video projects
Creates emotional, impactful, objective-oriented content for Blue Hour Studios’ client partners
Handles video edits and iteration requests in a timely manner
Exports final projects in a variety of different spec requirements across social platforms
Keep server and projects organized upon completion
Experiment with styles and techniques
Suggests or selects music
Understands channel needs
Collaborate closely with Creative Director, Sr. Creative Strategist, Art Director, and Brand Strategy stakeholders to identify and implement creative strategies for all launches, promotions and various marketing campaigns
Stays up-to-date with the latest video and ad trends

Knowledge and Skills Required

Mandatory: portfolio/reel featuring examples of video content
Proficiency in Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premiere
Nice to have: proficiency in Adobe After Effects
Affinity and passion for pets, and the health and wellness category
6+ years of experience in producing and editing in an agency or brand-side environment
Creative with a strong desire to learn and grow
Superior attention to detail, and incredibly collaborative nature
Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to manage through a high level of ambiguity to distill down to actionable recommendations/solutions
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word and Excel is a nice to have)
