Are you a dynamic multifaceted designer with a passion for creative collaboration and mentorship? Wind Sun Sky Entertainment is looking for a Sr. Visual Development Artist & Graphic Designer for our Vancouver office. Come join our team!
The Sr. Visual Development & Graphic Artist is responsible for generating creative visual and typographical assets in a variety of styles to support character and environment design, branding, social media, and marketing for various projects in Production and Development.
The ideal candidate will be a versatile creative leader with a strong, proactive communications style and a passion for all things media (animation, film TV and more!)
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
· Visual Development
o Creative exploration around shape, tone, mood, colour palette and textures to build out the visual language of various animated projects
o Bring the director’s and/or showrunner’s vision to life in a way that connects visuals to the show’s theme
o Propose ideas for characters, environments, props and vehicles across various animated projects
o Create story moments that illustrate how all visual elements come together in a scene
o Collaborate with project teams working in a variety of styles, including 2D, 3D and mixed media
o Collaborate on the creation of show style guides
o Support and mentor more junior artists
· Graphic Design
o Create eye-catching graphics that encapsulate the genre, tone and feel of various animated projects
o Support production with original graphic or motion graphic art
o Create custom documents and PowerPoint presentations for creative pitches
o Create logos and other branding elements for various shows in production and development
o Collaborate on the creation of graphic design style guides
o Creative, mixed-media social media content
· Leadership
o Provide vision, feedback, motivation and support to the design team
o Provide coaching, mentorship and training as necessary
o Support the team through the feedback process

WHAT YOU WILL BRING:
- Excellent working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, and previous experience designing for both 2D and 3D projects. Shotgrid knowledge, marketing knowledge, and an understanding of the digital space a plus.
