Job Description
Weigel Productions is the inhouse production group of Weigel Broadcasting, looking to add a seasoned staff editor to its team. Weigel Productions produces Collector’s Call and Toon in With Me, among other series for MeTV, Catchy, Story, Start and other Weigel networks. We are looking for a format-based Editor to add to our collaborative and creative team. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated skill set for creating compelling visual storytelling. They will work with a creative team of writers, graphic artists and photographers/editors who produce collaborative content for broadcast.
Duties/Responsibilities:

- As a member of a team of cinematographers, visual effects artists, editors, writers and producers, you will collaborate to create compelling content for broadcast. You can edit quickly to bring evocative scripts to life.
- You are a natural leader; works well with others and love to tell stories.
- Create compelling stories from scripts and source material in order to engage and entertain the viewer.
- Craft scenes and episodes from multi-camera footage produced in the studio and in the field, combing original footage, 3rd party assets and a large library of music and sound effects.
- Utilize footage and assets from a myriad of sources to best illustrate the story at hand.
- Other duties, as assigned
Requirements:
- Ideal candidates will have a strong attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.
- Adobe Premiere editing software experience strongly preferred.
- DaVinci Resolve experience is a plus.
- Successful candidate will be able to function as an editor and shooter (as needed).
- Working knowledge and artistic abilities utilizing Adobe Photoshop and After Effects a major plus.
- Must have at least 5 years of nonlinear editing long form or documentary production experience in a professional environment.
- Must be able to thrive in a demanding, fast pace creative environment.
- Must be open to flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
