Overview:
The Central Audience Development team is responsible for writing fun, engaging editorial content and social media copy for paid campaigns. This includes trivia and personality quizzes, binge-watch guides, photo galleries and interactive articles as well as clicky social media copy for Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and more. We promote programming on Paramount+ which includes scripted and unscripted series, movies, live sports, breaking news with a mountain of entertainment from Paramount brands such as CBS, Nickelodeon, MTV, Comedy Central, BET, and Smithsonian. Our team comes up with out-of-the-box, fan-first ideas and optimizes our content to get the best performance possible for the digital brands that we work with.
Responsibilities:
- Write interactive online quizzes, articles, binge guides, and photo galleries for Paramount digital brands, including ParamountPlus.com, MTV.com, StarTrek.com and more
- Write social marketing copy and crop photos for paid social media creatives
- Build and publish online articles in a CMS platform
- Upload approved social creatives to Google Suite
- Actively participate in creative brainstorms and collaborate with others to build innovative content ideas
- Pitch editorial and paid social ideas around Paramount+ series and movies
- Manage a schedule with several projects and complete tasks on time
Basic Qualifications:
- 2+ years writing experience
- Bachelor’s degree
Additional Qualifications:
- Strong writing and editing skills
- Proven ability to work independently and juggle daily, medium and long-range deadlines
- Self-managing and able to collaborate effectively within a creative team of writers and designers
- Experience building content on a CMS platform
- Experience sourcing photos from databases
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to provide, and receive, clear feedback and direction
- Ability to work cross-functionally with different departments, implement notes on your writing, adapt to different brand voices
- Confident pitching editorial ideas around Paramount+ series, movies and events
- Experience using team collaboration platforms like Asana and Slack
- Sense of humor
- A strong interest in TV, fandom, and pop culture
