Job Description

The Producer is responsible for program development, creative and editorial direction, and programming block hours, working with editorial management for the content vision of CBS Sports Digital and the producer’s assigned project. Oversee day-to-day editorial for program hours and coordinate content integration across platforms. We bring our passion for sports and love of our work, serving up sports content to fans everywhere, and this role will help us succeed in that mission!

Position is in-person, based at CBS Sports Digital’s Fort Lauderdale studios. Ability to reliably commute or relocate before starting is required.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
CBS Sports Digital produces content for CBS Sports HQ, a free 24/7 streaming platform for highlights, analysis, and breaking news as well as programming windows across CBS Sports Network, the 24-hour cable home of CBS Sports!
  • Produce, script, and lead all aspects in execution of digital programs & video podcasts for a distribution across CBS Sports Digital & CBS Sports Network platforms
  • Collaborate with podcast producers and show teams to adapt their programs for video format
  • Build and create show rundowns using Ross Inception
  • Maintain an ongoing and close coordination with Master Control and Digital Line Producers
  • Identify, enhance, and create relevant show content to redistribute across the digital medium, sharing on appropriate platforms
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in video production, media arts, communications, broadcasting, sports management, or combination of education/training with relevant experience equivalent
  • Appropriate television production experience, including running control room, stacking a rundown, juggling live breaking news, strong writing, and copyediting skills
  • Must have at least 2 years of Line Producing experience
  • Must be willing and able to work flexible hours, under tight deadline pressure, and navigate breaking news
  • While schedules will rotate, must be able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and overnights and holidays
  • Flexibility to work additional hours beyond scheduled shift with little or no notice if needed.
  • Must thrive in a fast-paced, team environment
  • Strong editorial judgment
