Job Description

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
  • Plans and shoots programming components, including teases, introductions and tosses.
  • Writes headlines and short news alerts for live stream programming.
  • Produces, writes and edits compelling, well-researched video for web, mobile and streaming platforms.
  • Assists in coverage of major news events and breaking news to ensure high quality consistent community coverage.
  • Curates KOAA YouTube and other social media channels with video content and interacts with audience.
  • May anchor/host content for all platforms.
  • Meets established deadlines.
  • Performs other duties as needed and directed.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field required and/or one year experience in live stream or TV line producing preferred.
  • At least 1-year of Producing experience.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Professional contributor with ability to work with a team.
  • Video editing experience.
  • Working knowledge of journalistic ethics and libel laws and strong editorial judgement.
  • May be responsible for entire projects or functions where general guidance and training of less experienced professional and/or support personnel are needed.
  • Independently performs assignments with instruction limited to results expected.
  • Advanced knowledge of organization's technologies and practices.
  • Exceptional command of the English language.
  • Exceptional organization.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to effectively manage resources.
COMPENSATION RANGE:
Annual Salary: $38,000.00 - $40,000
