Job Description

This person performs all duties associated with operating teleprompter, framing cameras, studio floor management, and assisting our control room Directors. 

What You Will Need:
  • Ensures studio is prepared, cameras are blocked, copy is loaded into the teleprompter; assign and set-up mics for on-air talent, blocking studio talent position/ placement for live shows, operate teleprompter and cameras during live and taped shows, managing studio floor.
  • Operation of various technical equipment including robotic cameras, digital newsroom environments. 
  • Assist Director with trouble-shooting technical problems and effectively resolve/ remove roadblocks as they occur during live productions, coding Ross OverDrive.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Production Manager.
What You Will Bring:
Education & Experience/Certifications
  • High School diploma or GED.  Degree in television production or equivalent preferred.
  • 1 - 3 years' experience preferred.
Skills & Abilities
  • Successfully performed related duties of Studio Tech II for up to one year
  • Demonstrates knowledge of technical systems and floor operations
  • Readily learns and applies training, new techniques and independent judgment
Work Environment
  • Office Environment.  Employees are protected from weather conditions or contaminants, but not necessarily occasional temperature changes.
  • Hazards:  Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, or exposure to chemicals or infectious diseases in work setting.
