The E.W. Scripps Company is hiring for a Studio Production Assistant. They will be responsible for supporting the control room, using hands-on knowledge and skills to anticipate needs and troubleshoot issues.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Act as the primary technical support for operations for control room and studio for specified times
- Work with network engineering and operations to ensure needs are met in control room and studio
- Provide support in managing incoming signals from the field.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- 7+ years professional experience in live television.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
- Must work well under the pressure of a live broadcast.
- Must be able to make quick decisions and give accurate instructions.
- Ability to solve problems under pressure and apply hands-on knowledge to do so.
- Possess excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Must understand the entire scope of needs in the studio and control room.
- Good knowledge of IT applications in relation to television broadcast equipment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Willing to work varied shifts
