Job Description

This role is tasked with developing inclusive strategies for multicultural audience engagement strategy, publicity and all marketing fields that will connect Paramount movies to the widest audience possible. In support of Paramount Pictures’ content, the role will keep up with the cultural zeitgeist and emerging trends to strategically and authentically deepen and broaden our relationships in BIPOC communities. The role reports to the EVP of Domestic Publicity. 

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
Publicity
  • Oversee the development and execution of MC publicity and marketing strategies to include agency (selection, ideation, proposals and plans) by partnering with the SVP Field Publicity & Targeted Marketing team for grassroots promotions, event execution, talking points, field - publicity opportunities (i.e. junkets, press days, premieres), regional screenings, etc.
  • Explore opportunities and collaborate with the National Publicity teams for strategies that align within the MC space
  • Work with field / MC publicists to identify top-tier media coverage opportunities, key partnerships, to create non-traditional media moments that drive social and cultural chatter. Also, deepen relationships and engagement with diverse journalists and media personalities.
  • Work cross-functionally across the marketing department to help identify how we can successfully use resources to elevate all MC PR efforts
Digital Marketing & Publicity 
  • Work in conjunction with National Publicity, Digital Marketing and Field Marketing teams to help inform MC digital publicity and influencer initiatives, outreach efforts
Partnerships
  • Work closely with WW Marketing Partnerships to identify, develop and collaborate on partnerships and promotions that increase multicultural consumer engagement and interest with our films
Creative, Research & Analytics
  • Partner with the SVP, MC Marketing & Brand across MC creative, media and research needs
Project Action: in collaboration with other senior executives manage and drive the overarching Project Action strategies. This includes directing and managing the daily activities of the Director Project Action
  • The Director is accountable for managing PA task forces to ensure alignment and implementation of recommendations
  • Oversee the PA budget and allocation of spend
  • Find opportunities between the PA initiatives to authentically integrate into the marketing and multicultural marketing strategies where applicable
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in either Public Relations, Marketing, Communications or a related field
  • 15+ years publicity experience or related experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Ability to use initiative and work both independently and as a team
  • Willingness to travel and work on weekends, in some instances with short notice
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Strong knowledge of film industry with a solid understanding of motion picture marketing
  • Excellent writing skills with ability to work under deadline pressure
  • Self-motivated, self-starter
  • Understanding of and ability to implement marketing strategy
  • Strategic approach who can project and implement comprehensive campaigns
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills!
  • Strategic problem solver with the ability to think big picture and dive into the details
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

Hiring Salary Range: $235,000.00 - 265,000.00.
