Job Description

We are looking for a full-time temporary event planner based either in New York or Los Angeles.  The ideal candidate is a go getter that can manage multiple events simultaneously with minimal oversite. We are looking for a leader, who is the definition of a team player; detail-oriented, innovative, and hard-working. Someone who comes up with creative ideas and solutions for clients and can jump into any project with minimal guidance and begin planning.  This position requires some travel and works 3 days per week in our offices, 2 days remote.    

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage successful, on-budget small to mid-size in-person and virtual events, corporate meetings, presentations, projects, hospitality programs, and other pop-up events
  • Manage all aspects of events including proposals, contracts, budgets, BEOs, décor and rental orders, event layouts, rooming lists, etc.
  • Creatively ideate concepts, while adhering to and managing client expectations and goals 
  • Ask thoughtful and strategic information-gathering questions to help inform client decisions, and to brainstorm and engage with our internal clients and department members to provide executable ideas that achieve desired strategic goals  
  • Communicate and collaborate closely with FED Technology and Design partners to execute high level events
  • Provide administrative support related to ancillary events as needed
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
  • Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years hands-on and supervisory experience in Corporate Events
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, basic database applications, and internet searches 
  • Broad scope and overall skill to oversee small to medium sized events 
  • Team player that is comfortable with  manual labor that might include; packing, unpacking, lifting boxes, setting up a production office, loading in hospitality spaces, and standing on feet for more than 4 hours at a time while on-site at events
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented, and ever-changing environment  
  • Ability to work overtime and travel for events throughout the year 
Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements,, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $1,500 weekly.
