Job Description
The TV Programming Associate – reporting to the Manager of TV Programming, oversees the development and communication of programming tools and processes for on-air channels. This role will work a hybrid schedule, onsite and remotely. The schedule will be Monday through Friday 9am-5pm, and all on-call when handling host callouts after hours.
You will work to determine the most effective programming strategies and processes in order to maximize sales, viewership and other key business metrics. You will develop tools and deploy processes for TV Programming priorities and projects, and work strategically with business partners to build the most effective processes, tools, and calendars.
Your Impact
- You will be responsible for drafting long-range programming calendars for QVC1 and QVC2 with a focus on daily programming changes and meta data management for each program.
- Brainstorm, partner and develop programming strategies to continuously drive business metrics and key initiatives.
- You will develop and manage new communication tools and processes in support of the expansion of QVC2 live programming and the Daily Special Value.
- You will create and analyze reporting to assist in forecasting sales and identifying opportunities.
What You Bring
- 2+ years of experience in a broadcasting environment
- Bachelor's Degree in Broadcasting, Communications, Media, or related field, or equivalent experience
- Ability to quickly analyze data and situations and draw relevant conclusions to have positive effects on business
- Ability to work with budgets and effectively forecast business
