Job Description
What you’ll do:
- We’re seeking a Motion Designer, UX to evolve and elevate our in-app entertainment experience. You’ll work on everything from shows and movies, to live events and news, from kids to sports content -- both in and out of home. As part of the product team, you’ll craft UX designs and journeys to help communicate solutions for features used by millions of customers every day. We are looking for an expert storyteller with a command of visual, communication, and motion design principles (composition, framing, alignment, timing, and beyond.) Here at Peacock, you will be empowered to:
- Create and document the complete motion design system for our product · Animate new features for the Peacock platform (TV, web, mobile)
- Animate long-form narrative pieces for internal and external product demos · Partner with UX Designers, Product Managers, and technology leads to define scope and goals of deliverables
- Generate storyboards, style frames, and motion studies in order to align the internal team and sell-through concepts
- Strategize and develop motion standards for the Peacock app
- Extend brand identity to motion language
- Maintain expert understanding of platform flexibility and UX requirements
- Own production and output for multiple projects simultaneously
- Report on emerging animation trends and techniques
- Maintain well-organized project files and folders
Qualifications
- · 3+ years of motion design experience
- · A captivating design portfolio that sets you apart from the pack
- · 1+ year of professional experience as a UX motion designer
- · Expertise in both motion and visual design
- · Bachelor's degree in Animation, Motion, Interaction, Graphic Design, or equivalent design-related field
- · Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator), Cinema4D, Figma and video editing software (Premiere)
- · Comfortable with a fast-paced, start-up environment
- · Able to multi-task and seamlessly transition between multiple workstreams under tight deadlines
- · Familiar with streaming platforms like X1, Roku, Fire TV, Samsung, Apple TV, etc.
