Job Description
Candidate must possess excellent communication and organizational skills, must work under pressure and be willing to deal with several changes during a live show or newscast. We are looking for a team player and a team leader who has had recent experience running an automated system during a fast paced, graphics intensive newscast. We are looking for candidates who are always thinking of creative ways of executing production during live shows and pre-production. Flexibility in work schedule is required. This is a union position.
Responsibilities:
- Operate Sony`s ELC live automation system during newscasts
- Combo direct and TD special events and pre-production
- Build special effects in switcher to enhance production
- Execute clean newscasts while keeping a pace expected by production managers
- Meet with show producer for every show, review needs and suggest ways to execute particular elements
Job Requirements:
- 4 year college degree.
- 1+ years experience directing and TD live news productions
- 1 years experience with an automated control room system
- Proven experience with a Sony switchers, including understanding of effect building, DMEs, macros, file maintenance and frame memory
- Experience with Bit Central playback system or a similar server based playback system
- Experience with Newsticker
Travel: Rarely: less than 10%
Work Environment Set: Office: normally performed in a typical interior/office environment
Physical Demands Set: Medium work: Involves standing prolong hours, stooping, bending, lifting/pushing up to 25 lbs.
