Job Description

The video producer will be involved in all aspects of video production to include shooting and editing, lighting, graphics creation, b-roll capture, live productions, and encoding content for distribution on various communications channels.

Salary: $55,709.00 - $64,762.00 Annually

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Develops a variety of video content for Gwinnett County Government
  • Supports internal departments with storytelling through video and with service or production needs
  • Handles the end-to-end video production process, including pre-production planning, storyboarding, coordinating talent, filming, editing, and publishing
  • Collaborates with branding and design, public relations and marketing, and web teams to ensure understanding and execution of communications needs and requirements
  • Works with content team on script development and storyboarding
  • Packages existing video content for re-use across multiple formats, including website, social media, events, and more
  • Creates graphics and logos for video, adhering to branding and style standards including font, image, content, and logo usage
  • Maintains and repairs production equipment
  • Keeps a pulse on innovations in the video industry and seeks new opportunities to reach target audiences
  • Assists with managing video library to keep assets organized and accessible
  • Performs other duties of a similar nature or level
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in digital media production, film, television, journalism, communications, or a closely related field, and 3 years of experience in all aspects of producing, video production and video editing; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud applications (Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Media Encoder) or similar non-linear editing software
  • Demonstrated understanding of field and studio production, editing, audio, and lighting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to balance multiple stakeholders and project perspectives
  • Motivated team player with strong interpersonal, organizational, time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to learn and develop new production techniques
  • Familiarity with social media platforms
  • Familiarity with project management software
PREFERRED SKILLS
  • An exceptionally creative communicator with impeccable interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Flexible, open-minded, willing to adapt to changing/competing priorities, able to manage multiple demands, and skilled in time management
  • Client relations
  • Experience writing and reviewing scripts
  • Experience developing content for digital media
  • Skilled in photography and the use of photo editing software
  • Someone who enjoys learning and continually seeking new ways to grow personally and professionally
  • Bilingual and able to read, write, and speak Spanish, Korean, Vietnamese, or Mandarin proficiently
