Job Description

Georgia Public Broadcasting (GPB) is a statewide public media network with nine television and seventeen
radio stations. We are looking for a Videographer-Editor that will shoot and edit programs and production
segments in the studio or on location. The successful candidate will work as directed by the Vice President of GPB Studios to complete a variety of projects in line with the priorities of the organization.

Candidate Qualifications:

• Associates degree or four years of equivalent experience in TV Production, Media/Communications, or a
related field.
• Audio, editing and lighting skills are required. Experience using Adobe Premiere preferred.
• Ability to multi-task various projects, work under deadline, independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to be creative, highly organized, attentive to details, and strong communication skills.
• Must be comfortable with short- and long-term projects.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to travel including weekends, evenings, and some holidays.
• Working knowledge of all levels of field and studio productions.
• Candidate must possess a willingness to learn and become accustomed to working in a studio
configuration, as well as in remote situations.

Job Responsibilities Include:

• Works with segment Executive Producers and Producers to understand production needs, and the overall
style and goals of each project, to include expected timelines, shot selection and requirements, lighting,
equipment setup, script review, etc. to ensure productions needs are met for both internal and external
clients.
• Records full television programs and segments, including public affairs/legal programs, client productions
(state agency, non-profit, and commercial), outdoor programs, documentary/interview shoots, and live
sporting events.
• Resolves issues related to appropriate lighting, audio specifications, and on-location or studio-based gear, to include repairing and troubleshooting equipment malfunctions.
• Manages, assembles, and inventories field camera packages and associated gear.
• Works with and maintains timely communications with the engineering department and management to
ensure the maintenance and repair of all related equipment.
• Reviews production schedule for time of shoot and equipment to be used; and rearranges schedules in event of conflicts.
